Grants Awarded: Supporting Student
Success in Kershaw County

The Camden Junior Welfare League is proud to have awarded over $65,500 in Classroom Enrichment Grants and Youth Enrichment Grants to more than 111 educators and non-profits in Kershaw County throughout the years. These grants are dedicated to fostering student growth and development in key areas such as math, language and writing, the arts, life skills and leadership, physical education, and STEAM. By investing in these enrichment opportunities, we aim to enhance the educational experiences of students and inspire the next generation of leaders in our community.

Thank you to each educator and applicant for their individual drive to improve the present moment in the lives of our children! Without you, and the community support, this program would not be successful!

In this heartwarming video, Mrs. Johnson's 1st grade class of 2023 learns valuable life skills through hands-on experience, as they plant and care for a beautiful flower bed. This project not only teaches the students about the importance of nurturing plants but also fosters responsibility, patience, and teamwork. It's inspiring to see young minds engaging with nature and taking pride in their efforts to maintain their flower bed!
